Virtus.pro bested Natus Vincere in The Kiev Major qualifier

Virtus.pro played the last match of the first day of the qualifiers against Natus Vincere. Earlier, VP.G2A had consecutively defeated Hive-, Team Spirit and Team Empire.

Natus Vincere had the first blood. Virtus.pro responded with two kills on mid, but Na`Vi evened the score after pushing the top lane. VP.G2A won another teamfight on mid, with Na`Vi losing two of their heroes (4-2). Virtus.pro made two more kills, but Natus Vincere were able to respond in kind. In a top-lane teamfight, Na’Vi took down four heroes, losing three (9-9). Virtus.pro scored a series of kills, returning the game to equilibrium (11-9).

At the 18-minute mark, VP.G2A took Roshan and proceeded to destroy tier 2 towers. Five minutes later, both teams traded kills underneath Na`Vi’s high ground (16-13). At the 28-minute mark, Virtus.pro pushed the opponent’s high ground, then, after two kills, turned around and took Roshan.

33 minutes into the game, an attempted attack on the high ground ended in an aggressive response from Na`Vi (19-16). Five minutes later, another high-ground attack resulted in several kills for VP.G2A, who then took Roshan, entered the opponent’s high ground, and destroyed the ancient.

Vega Squadron will be VP.G2A’s next opponent. The match will be played March 11 at 11:00 CET.
