Virtus.pro wins a second Major in a row!

We confidently close out The Bucharest Major's final against VGJ.Thunder – 3:0!

Virtus.pro adds another victory to the list after winning three out of four current season's Majors: previously, we became the ESL One Hamburg 2017 and ESL One Katowice 2018 champions.

Thanks to the Bucharest victory, our players have earned $500 000 each + 750 DPC points. It should be reminded that Virtus.pro are sure to participate in The International 2018 now – even before the final, the team has already earned the required amount of points.

A quick summary of the grand-final against VGJ.Thunder

Virtus.pro have opened the first game with a clear domination in the early game. After taking the first Roshan and winning a couple of teamfights, our team trapped the opponent inside their base, forcing them to concede.

The second game started with a kill in VGJ's favor, but Virtus.pro quickly stabilized and even took the lead after a series of fights. The Roshan kill on 20th minute created an opening for VP to push the opponent's barracks, thus forcing them to play defensively. After losing yet another teamfight, VGJ were bound to lose.

The third game was not that different. The early game was clearly won by Virtus.pro. VGJ were losing heroes all around the map, and in a couple of minutes lost all of their outer structures. Near the 20-minute mark, Virtus.pro defeated them in another fight and took the Roshan. 8 minutes later, VGJ yet again lost all their heroes in a teamfight, rendering them unable to leave the base. The buy-backs were not enough to protect the Chinese team's Highground. The victory in a final battle brought Virtus.pro a second Major's Champion title in a row.
