Virtus.pro defeats Team Liquid and advances to Major Final!

The decisive game against VGJ.Thunder – tomorrow at 13 CET.

On the first map, Team Liquid opened up the series with a first blood. Despite losing the early stage of the game, our boys reclaimed the initiative by winning a couple of skirmishes and establishing a farm dominance. The first Roshan went in VP's favor. Liquid were forced to turtle inside their Highground, but lost their midlane after an unsuccessful teamfight. The second Roshan rallied Virtus.pro for the final, map-closing push.

The second game started off with a firstblood for VP. Both teams played very aggressively in the early game, resulting in multiple fights. Team Liquid emerged victorious from these skirmishes and continued growing their lead. After winning yet another series of teamfights, Liquid's gold lead skyrocketed. At the 20-minute mark, Virtus.pro were left without a single outer structure and were forced to surrender 4 minutes later.

VP head-started the final map with a firstblood yet again. This time, the teams chose more a defensive approach to early-game. After claiming the first Roshan, Team Liquid immediately attempted a Highground push, only to be effortlessly pushed back by VP, who didn't lose a single hero in this fight. The second Roshan also went in Liquid's favor, but the Roshpit teamfight ended in a teamwipe and a loss of Aegis in favor of Virtus.pro. Next victory in a massive teamfight allowed our guys to trap their opponents inside their base. The massive farm and level advantage prepared the soil for the final attack, where Virtus.pro crushed Team Liquid, ending the series.
