Virtus.pro loses to PSG.LGD in EPICENTER XL

We'll continue our battle in the tournament's lower bracket!

The match was opened up with a first blood in favor of Virtus.pro. Both teams were neck and neck in the early game. The first Roshan was claimed by VP, who then secured a victory in the following teamfight. PSG.LGD were able to deter an attack on their Highground, taking out the Aegis out of the equation. On the 30-minute mark, the Chinese have won a teamfight and reclaimed the initiative. Virtus.pro turned onto the defensive by successfully fighting against the opponent's first push, but losing the mid-lane barracks in the process. VP have attempted to turn the tables around, but the Chinese team performed better in the following fight, which allowed them to repeat their Highground attack and secure the first map in their favor.

PSG.LGD were the ones to score a first blood in the game number two. Both teams showed a very mindful and respectful playstyle in the early game. Virtus.pro have claimed the first Roshan, and then claimed the farm advantage, further advancing their lead by winning a series of teamfights. The second Roshan was also claimed by the CIS team. PSG.LGD have managed to turn a man advantage into taking a T3 turret. However, VP have won a deciding teamfight by sending 4 PSG.LGD's heroes respawning, forcing them to surrender.

Virtus.pro have opened up the deciding game by taking a small lead – taking just a little bit more kills. The first Roshan was secured by VP, but at a tremendous cost of getting teamwiped in the following fight. PSG.LGD have obtained an absolute control over the map and continued it with a series of successful ganks. Virtus.pro were forced to turtle inside their base but were unable to hold back the much stronger opponent.

VP will continue their run in the lower bracket – we are to face Mineski in an elimination match.
