Virtus.pro advances to the final of ESL One Birmingham!

Virtus.pro advance to ESL One Birmingham 2018 grand final!

VP are to face the winner of the OpTic Gaming vs Fnatic match in the grand final.

The first semi-final was played in a best-of-3 format. The first game was opened up with a first blood in Virtus.pro's favor. VP have claimed a lead in the early game. PaiN Gaming were left without their T1 turrets before the 15-minute mark. On the 25th minute our team slew Roshan, and then forced the opponents inside their base by winning a couple of fights. The Brazilians were unable to guard against Virtus.pro's attacks and conceded.

The first blood of the second map was shed by RodjER. Both teams were proactive in their plays and actively sought out opportunities to set up teamfights. VP, however, were more successful in skirmishes and launched ahead in gold after the 10th minute. On the 14-minute mark Virtus.pro caught off nearly every opponent's hero on the bottom-lane, forcing them to play defensively yet again. 10 minutes later, VP claimed Roshan, and after a brief pause sent all paiN Gaming's heroes respawning, destroying two of their lanes in process. Not having any resources to continue the battle, the Brazilian team conceded on the 36-minute mark.
