Virtus.pro convincingly defeat MVP Project in the SL i-League StarSeries S3

Our CS:GO roster faced MVP Project in the first round of the group stage of the SL i-League StarSeries S3. The match was played on Mirage: Virtus.pro had banned Cache, Overpass and Cobblestone, while Nuke, Inferno and Train had been banned by the opponent.

MVP Project won the knife round and picked the defense side. The Asian team took the first three rounds. VP.G2A entered the A site after taking control of the middle, breaking MVP’s winning streak (1-3).

Virtus.pro continued to play towards quickly taking control of the middle, and gained the lead (5-3). XigN won in a 1v1 against byali on the B site (5-4). Maintaining a fast tempo, VP focused their attacks on the A site, and finished the half-time with a score of 11-4.

The Poles prevailed in the second pistol round, and made no mistakes during two ecos (14-4). MVP Project entered the A site in a split attack, but lost in a 1v1 situation. Virtus.pro repelled a rush from the opponent and ended the match with a convincing victory: 16-4.

Virtus.pro G2A’s next opponent will be known after the end of the last match on day one of the tournament, between Natus Vincere G2A and UYA.
