Virtus.pro defeated Na`Vi at The Kiev Major qualifier

Virtus.pro faced Natus Vincere in the first match of The Kiev Major closed regional qualifier. The match was a best-of-3.

First map stats:

Na`Vi.G2A drew first blood.  A series of teamfights went unfavorably for Virtus.pro, allowing the opponent to take the lead. Both teams were active in destroying tier 1 structures. A regrettable misplay made VP.G2A trail in gold even more.

Two heroes were killed at the 12-minute mark (3-7). VP.G2A caught a player on bottom, but lost a teamfight two minutes later without making a trade (4-11). Virtus.pro’s third smoke allowed them to take down Dendi (5-11). VP.G2A decided to keep a distance from Na`Vi, who had gained a critical lead after killing Roshan.

After getting two kills in solo attacks, Virtus.pro lost two players on top (7-14). Natus Vincere attempted to enter the high ground, but VP.G2A repelled the attack, wiping the opposing team (12-17).

The two teams traded kills at the 33-minute mark (13-18). Virtus.pro took down Roshan and then rMN (14-18). By the 41st minute, VP.G2A had gained a lead in both gold and experience. Four minutes later, Virtus.pro made two kills, then entered the high ground and destroyed a barracks.

VP.G2A killed Roshan and then entered the high ground again, winning a team fight and the game.

Second map stats:

Virtus.pro drew first blood, but Na`Vi immediately traded for the hero they’d lost. A kill from Natus Vincere in the top lane came 7 minutes into the game. The two teams traded kills, and VP.G2A proceeded to take down Roshan. VP.G2A made two more trades, evening the score on kills (5-5).

Na`Vi made four kills at the 20-minute mark (8-11). Three minutes later, Virtus.pro won a team fight in front of the Rosh pit, trading 1 for 2. Both teams continued to trade kills until a teamfight at the 27-minute mark, won by Natus Vincere. After a 1-for-3 trade, Na`Vi lay siege to Virtus.pro’s high ground.

Na`Vi.G2A won the ensuing series of teamfights. Without losing initiative, Natus Vincere entered their opponent’s high ground and won the game.

Third map stats:

 

atus Vincere scored the first kill. VP.G2A responded with a triple kill at the 5-minute mark (3-1). During the first night, Virtus.pro were able to gank two more Na`Vi heroes. 10 minutes into the game, VP won a teamfight, trading 1 for 2. The next major teamfight also went in Virtus.pro’s favor (9-3).

VP.G2A focused on coordinated positional play. At the 19-minute mark, Na`Vi took down Roshan, but Virtus.pro stole the aegis and made three kills (12-4). 24 minutes into the game, Virtus.pro entered the opponent’s high ground and destroyed a barracks. Two minutes later, VP.G2A made four kills on bottom, forcing a surrender from the opponent.

Team Empire will be VP.G2A’s next opponent. The match will be played March 12 at 18:00 CET.
