Virtus.pro outperformed SK in the semi-final of the ELEAGUE Major 2017

Virtus.pro faced SK Gaming in the semi-final of the ELEAGUE Major 2017. The winner of the match gets to the final, and the loser will finish their performance at the event with $70,000 and the status of a legend.

Playing for terrorists, Virtus.pro quickly reached plant B but didn't protect the planted bomb (10:6). In a round VP.G2A got to an opened plant and outperformed their opponents (11:7). In the 19th round pashaBiceps saved AWP, which allowed the team to win the following force buy (12:8). The Brazilians evened out the score in the 26th round by winning a 2v2 situation (13:13). The teams kept winning rounds by turns, which led to overtime.

NEO won a clutch near an opened plant and scored the first win of the overtime (16:15). Three frags by TACO near a closed plant led to a tie (16:16). The squads win rounds by turns (17:17), and then three kills by NEO near plant A allowed VP.G2A to take the lead (18:17). Long holding and attacking near plant B allowed the "bears" to win another round (2:5). After an eco round FalleN scored four frags near plant A (3:6). Virtus.pro kept focusing on plant B and evened out the score in three rounds (6:6). By breaking the defense of plant B, the Brazilian players won three last rounds as counter-terrorists (6:9).
