Virtus.pro qualified for The Kiev Major

Virtus.pro played Natus Vincere G2A in the grand final of The Kiev Major closed regional qualifier. The match was a best-of-3. Earlier, Na`Vi had defeated Team Spirit and Team Empire in the losers’ bracket.

First map stats:

Virtus.pro got the first blood. From the very first minutes, VP.G2A went for aggressive plays in lanes, ambushing Na`Vi heroes. After gaining an early lead, VP took down Roshan 9 minutes into the game and stayed ahead in gold and experience. Unafraid of teamfights, Virtus.pro proceeded to destroy the buildings in lanes.

In a Rosh pit teamfight at the 20th minute, VP.G2A made six kills. Without losing initiative, VP entered the enemy high ground, where they destroyed the barracks and suppressed the opponent’s resistance, forcing a surrender.

Second map stats:

 

VP.G2A scored the first kill. Three minutes in, Virtus.pro traded 1 for 3 on mid. At the 9th minute, No[o]ne took down three Natus Vincere heroes. By the 12-minute mark, Virtus.pro had secured their lead and went on to destroy the enemy towers.

At the 19th minute, VP.G2A made a double kill, and took down four Na`Vi G2A heroes in a mass teamfight 4 minutes later. Having destroyed the tier 3 towers, Virtus.pro made a tactical retreat. Natus Vincere attempted to attack VP.G2A in the Rosh pit, only to lose four heroes again. At the 25th minute, Virtus.pro entered the enemy high ground and forced the opponent to surrender.

Winning the grand final made Virtus.pro G2A the holder of the single spot for a CIS team at The Kiev Major 2017.
