Virtus.pro lost to SK Gaming in EPICENTER grand-finals

The Brazilians won dramatic best-of-5 series – 3:2.

Mirage (16:10)

The Poles started the match on the opponent's pick in a convincing fashion by confidently taking first five rounds. Guys from SK Gaming attempted to retake control of the game, but only managed to score five rounds on the offense – first half of the map was finished 10:5. Virtus.pro have taken the pistol round after the sideswap, which allowed them to methodically close out the map – 16:10.

Inferno (6:16)

The Brazilian team claimed the first pistol round on the offense, but the Poles immediately answered by winning an eco round after that. The match continued in as an equal struggle – at one moment, the score was 5:5. The first half, though, was ultimately taken by SK – 9:6. Brazilian offense didn't leave any breathing room for VP either, breaking Virtus.pro's three-match winning streak on Inferno.

Train (16:19)

Third map – Train – resembled Mirage quite closely: 6 first rounds were claimed by VP, which led to the first half being taken by VP in a dominating manner – 12:3. The Brazilians, though, refused to back down and went for a heroic comeback, closing the gap completely by the end of the map. Despite Snax's brilliant clutch to bring the game to the map-point, Fallen and friends took the game to overtime and sealed the deal.

Cache (16:12)

The Poles instantly took the lead 5:0, but the Brazilians showed yet another comeback – first half of the map went 6:9 in favor of SK. Post-sideswap pistol round was picked up by VP, and what happened next was more akin to a thriller. The deciding rounds ended up being taken by VP – the Poles tied the score and eventually took the match to Cobblestone.

Cobblestone (18:22)

The Polish team lost the first pistol round, but that didn't dramatically alter the course of the first half – the teams swapped sides 7:8. The second pistol round was claimed by Virtus.pro, bringing the game to overtime at 15:15. The first series of overtime rounds weren't enough to decide the winner, but SK Gaming managed to out-edge our team in the second OT – 18:22. Virtus.pro are defeated in the finals after demonstrating a great performance over the course of the tournament.
