Virtus.pro defeated OpTic Gaming and tied with Team Serenity

The International 2018 started!

Virtus.pro – OpTic Gaming – 2:0

The first game's FB was drawn by OpTic Gaming. The opponent successfully countered RAMZES666 in the early game, which allowed OpTic to claim the lead. On the 20-minute mark, the teams equalized the score. Following an intense series of events, Virtus.pro finally teamwiped OpTic on the 31st minute with Ramzes scoring an Ultra kill. 7 minutes later, two enemy lanes fell prey to Virtus.pro's attacks, with the enemy Throne following suit on the 44th minute.

RAMZES666 was the one to draw the second game's first blood. Thanks to advanced warding and timely collapses, the early game ended with VP's, although slight, lead. The game spiraled out of control for OpTic when Virtus.pro claimed two Roshans in a row, forcing OpTic Gaming inside their own Highground. After yet another teamwipe and a triple kill by Vladimir "RodjER" Nikogosyan, the North-American team lost the rest of their already few structures and was forced to concede – 2:0.

Virtus.pro – Team Serenity – 1:1

Team Serenity opened up the score of the first map of the match. However, Virtus.pro out-edged the enemy in the early game thanks to the lane dominance and the series of well-executed kills. On the 18-minute mark, VP claimed the first Roshan and left Serenity without any outer structures. The Asian team had no way to defend their Highground and conceded.

VP started the second map's early game on the back foot. The first Roshan was claimed by Team Serenity, but Virtus.pro instantly retaliated by taking out the Aegis. The second Roshan went into Chinese team's pocket as well. A series of crucial teamfights allowed Serenity to eventually demolish VP's midlane. A victory in the final battle around Roshpit left our team no choice but to surrender – 1:1.
