SaNTaS: “There’s too wide a variety of supports now”
LoLesports.com has published an article about the most unconventional supports on the pro scene. Our League of Legends lineup’s support player talked about the current state of once-popular support champions in the new season meta.
Trundle is still a good in a lane against melee supports or against a tank in the opponent’s top lane; Soraka is a pick I don’t get at all: she can be countered by an 800-gold item; and Leona is a pick that’s similar to Vel’koz: a fairly risky strategy for shutting down the opponent’s bottom lane. It’s just that there’s too wide a variety of supports now, and there are many characters that can simply do more than Trundle, Leona, or especially Soraka.
