MICHU: “I believe in our team, because I am aware of our potential”

Couple words about motivation from MICHU right before Shanghai tournament.

You had a chance to play in China before. What are the differences from European tournaments, what surprise you in this country and do you have some favourite tastes in there?

This will be my 4th tournament in China, and hopefully first to win 😊 Asian events are mostly memorized by strong presence of their culture, people there treat every event very serious, there are extraordinary opening ceremonies that many people are involved in. What interest me the most is people, cuisine and strong tradition from this Asian part of globe. I think I don’t have any favourite meal, but I am very open for new tastes. I am not afraid to try all new I can, so I hope in free time I’ll be able to test some new flavours.

How do you stand long flights and time zone changes?

Long flights are not the problem for me, but time changes are. However, if I prepare properly during the time zone switch then I can handle it more easily, and I go to sleep when I have to.

There is no need to bluff that latest results are not satisfying. How do you find your confidence, what makes you still believe in team and in yourself?

I believe in our team, because I am aware of our potential, that lately we are not using at all. I believe in myself no matter if it is good or bad at that moment, I am self-confident, and I am focused on a plan, that I am trying to follow to reach goals and victories. Motivation is natural for me, in every game, every tournament, every trip there is strong believe in success and fighting till the end.

What CS element is the hardest to learn and which is the most important?

In my opinion the most essential elements are: communication, ability to fast decision making and responsibility. Of course, some shooting skills are useful too.

Do you watch other teams competing?

I usually watch only top tournaments and higher brackets games. When I have a need to look more closely to some plays or players I prefer to download pov and calmly analyse whatever I need.

What is the reason on dynamic changes in polish scene?

I think that those fast rotation eventuate from lack of motivation. In my opinion, too many teams are focused on fast success without too much work. There is also problem with player-player communication, after team rotations you can see many social media posts from gamers that points out personal beefs and bad atmosphere in previous teams.

MICHU, word from you to fans.

I understand your concern on our latest results. They are not satisfying. During this time, we work even harder, trying to fix mistakes that hopefully from game to game are less visible. I know, that Virtus.pro can back on right track, and this support from you and fingers crossed will be very needful right now.

Virtus.pro in China: the way it was before. And some Counter-Strike 1.6 bonus!
