"I hope after this results we are going to be back at least few positions". kuben about future

Virtus.pro coach Jakub "kuben" Gurczyński commented Shanghai perfomance.

About game against NaVi

– We're not surprised with our performance in the final. We've lost both maps – Nuke and Train – pretty badly. The saddest part is that Nuke used to be our best map for a couple of months in the past, and that Train has become our stronger map lately. After the veto, we were pretty confident about the game, but they took us to the ground really quickly after Dust2 on on Nuke. It was really important to win the pistol rounds on CT, but losing a 3v1 against Zeus was a big mistake we made at the beginning of the game.

That's why we had a 3:12 score even though we had an advantage many times over the course of the game: for example, we've made a pick three times on Yard, we've had a man advantage and still lost all three of these rounds. I'm not sure what was the main factor here – it could have been just general exhaustion, maybe jetlag, or maybe playing two such important games in a row affects us a lot – but it's uncertain. But the worst thing is that we've lost the 4th final in a row, and it's the 3rd final where we lose on Train as a final map. We keep making the same mistakes and having the same problems on CT – it's the most painful thing.

About team

– We've discussed the recent problems more openly. I mean the internal problems we had between each other. I think it helped us a lot during this event. Everyone was on point, everyone was hitting their shots. We just cleared out the situation between the players, maybe there still something in between, but we're trying to be as open as possible as much as we can.

About plans

– The next event for us is the IEM Shanghai 2018 - at the beginning of August, but we also think about attending some smaller event in between, like in the middle of July – DreamHack Valencia 2018, just to play more before the big event – IEM in Shanghai.

We're pretty satisfied with the outcome, since at the moment Na'Vi is top 3 team worldwide and and we're right after top 20. I hope after this results we are going to be back at least few positions. Na'Vi have also just lost a couple of finals, and other teams, like Astralis, had the same thing happen to them. That makes us hope that even if we keep losing the finals, eventually, we'll inevitably start winning them. We always come to every tournament with a clear goal to win it. We just have to be patient, train and work hard, and we shall overcome our problems. We'll be back, for sure. I believe in that!
