3 effective Virtus.pro's tactics on Mykonos

In Greece, the polish five performed much better than in Sweden. VP's tactics from Mykonos – one scroll away from you.

Attack on closed plant with Ivy fake – Train

In the deciding round of a match against mousesports, Virtus.pro demonstrated one of the most simple, yet effective offensive plays.

At the start of a round, polish players smoked out Ivy from CT main and then assigned Jarosław "pashaBiceps" Jarząbkowski and Pawel "byali" Belinsky there. The remaining trio entered the B bombsite with no prior nadework – only one CT was defending it.

Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski was the mastermind behind fake smokes and nades on Ivy.

The smoke is placed in order to push back defense players that are protecting the A3 side.

That allows our dynamic duo on Ivy to deal as much damage as possible. Byali's and pashaBiceps' minimal goal – force a trade and fake an A attack, maximum – take a couple of frags while staying alive.

In this round, byali and pashaBiceps managed to score 2 kills and force Tomáš "oskar" Šťastný to rotate from the B bombsite, leaving him open to attacks.

Because of that, Robin "ropz" Kool's position was open to attack from Upper B, which left him no chance of survival. Virtus.pro took the site, planted the bomb and successfully fended off the retake attempt.

Surviving byali played a major role in this play by lurking through  Z-connector and backstabbing Tomáš Šťastný.

Split rush on "B" (1-4) – Mirage

After a series of failed rounds against Team Liquid, polish players executed a fast B split rush through B apartments, backed up by a Middle controlling player.

Three quick frags from Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas and two smokes that zoned Catwalk out from the plant played a key role in the round's success.

At the round start, 4 players regrouped in T apartments near the B bombsite, and a remaining player was controlling Middle.

An entryfragger, in this case, TaZ, flashes only once while his teammates are "building" a smoke wall.

First smoke cuts off the left part, second – the right part.

After the smokes, here come the additional flashes over the top, and the entry is executed through windows. Jarosław "pashaBiceps" Jarząbkowski's (who was entering through Middle) main objective – zoning a rotating players from his Middle position and dispatching smoked out enemies.

Two-part entry on the A bombsite – Cache

Victory on Cache against mousesports wasn't a windy walk for Virtus.pro. The biggest factor was polish players' offense performance – on the T side, VP secured 10 rounds.

In this particular round, Middle control was crucial for its success.

The round started from Filip "NEO" Kubski's and  Jarosław "pashaBiceps" Jarząbkowski's prefire Middle-to-Highway entry. It's important to note that their attack was preceded by Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski's boost and Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas' nadework – he smoked out Z-connector.

As soon as Middle is taken, even with if it's followed by a trade, Snax resmokes Z and drops to White.

Janusz' and Yaroslav's primary objective – stay alive until their teammates are ready to enter the A bombsite through Squeaky door and A main.

pashaBiceps drops a zoning smoke when crossing the Highway. After that, 4 players are ready to attack the A bombsite.

After the plant is cleared, the duo of players that arrived through Highway is assigned to deal with rotating players at CT spawn and Middle. The remaining players are holding A main and the A bombsite itself.
